About the Filmwalah Goan Retreat
A complete 3-day writers’ retreat in the serene beauty of Goa, including stay, all meals, and morning-to-evening beverages, designed for those who already have a story — or are still searching for one.
Guided by a seasoned Bollywood screenwriter, participants receive one-to-one mentorship, structured writing support, and creative clarity to shape a compelling story.
By the end of the retreat, you walk away with a clear direction, stronger storytelling skills, and a confident roadmap for your journey toward a Bollywood or OTT writing career.
Day 01
Build Your Foundation
Kick off with warm introductions, creative icebreakers, and your first masterclass on the fundamentals of screenwriting. -You’ll explore story structure, character, and conflict, followed by your first WritingSprint on character sketches and backstories. -After lunch, dive into theme, premise, and logline discovery before crafting 1-pageoutlines. -End the evening with group sharing and a fireside chat on “How Writers Write.”
Day 02
Write, Shape & Deepen Your Scenes
Foundation Start with a creative warm-up, then learn advanced scene construction—beats, pacing, subtext, and conflict. Continue writing your scenes, shaped from Day 1’s outline. After lunch, a Dialogue & Voice workshop helps you create authentic character voices. You’ll then draft dialogue-based scenes, followed by a peer critique circle and mentor notes. End the day with a screening and analysis of a classic film to strengthen cinematic understanding.
Day 03
Polish, Present & Grow
ScenesWarm up with a writing challenge before entering Masterclass 3 on rewriting andtightening your script. Use Writing Sprint 5 to revise your scene or short script for the final showcase. After lunch, present your loglines, synopsis, and scenes in a Pitch & Showcase session. The retreat concludes with mentor feedback, group reflection, certificates, and photos—followed by an optional networking dinner to continue building connections.
